SOONER SCHOONER NEWSLETTER - APRIL, 2019
We met at the Wanderlust Crossing RV Park in Weatherford, Oklahoma, on April 9 thru 12th. Those attending: Bob & Debbie Adamson, Darrell & Connie Carver, Butch & Val Peters, Ken and Donna Zwiegle, Paul & Janey Ronck, Patrick & Janet Wright, Howard & Ann Victery, Pete & Shirlene Cozzitorto, Joe & Sue Wall, Arno Pautsch, and HB & Gayle Canida. Larry & Thelma, and Marion & Pat Towns came by for a visit. Larry’s recovering from hip surgery, and Marion from a heart valve procedure. As you probably know, I lost my Treasurer, Pat, as they have sold their MH.
Tuesday evening, the hosts HB & Gayle and Howard & Ann, prepared and served a dinner consisting of fried chicken, potato salad, and baked beans; which I am assuming everyone enjoyed as there were only two pieces of chicken that weren’t eaten. For dessert, we had cookies, and several pies prepared by Ann Victery. Very tasty Ann. After dinner several remained for card games.
Wednesday morning, Darrell gave us a lesson on Facebook, very good job Darrell. In the afternoon, we drove over to Clinton to the Route 66 Museum. Afterwards, we had dinner at the White Dog Hill Restaurant in a building built back in the 1920’s. Everyone enjoyed the food very much. Later, back at the clubhouse, more card playing.
On Thursday morning, most of us spent about 3 hours at the Stafford Air & Space Museum enjoying all the displays which consists of space as well aircraft displays. Later we had dinner at Lucille’s Roadhouse in Weatherford and another delicious meal. Later, more cards and visiting at the clubhouse.
Friday morning, we had a continental breakfast followed by club business meetings.
I would say that we all had some fun and it was a very good outing.
