Palmetto Winnebago Club (SC)

A great beginning to our camping season. Seventeen coaches/rigs participated in our first campout of the year. The weather was pretty cooperative, cool in the evenings/night and reasonable during the day so that we could get out and enjoyed visiting.
We had two first timers join us: James and Karla Milota from Simpsonville and Milton Ortiz & Sherry Hering from Charleston. Always great to have new folks join in.
Friday evening we all went to Country Boy’s BBQ in North. A great meal with a good buffet of fried chicken, fish, rice, hash, butter beans, etc. I don’t think anyone went away hungry.
Saturday morning we had a breakfast of biscuits and gravy along with some fruit. We held our business meeting and 50/50. New members Milton Ortiz and Sherry Herring were the lucky winners of the 50/50.
Saturday evening, we joined in with the pot luck the campground was hosting for the entire campground. They served an Irish Stew in honor of St. Patrick’s Day. Campers were asked to bring a side dish or dessert. Again, I don’t think anyone went away hungry.
We had a wonderful time and look forward to the next campout at the Barnyard.
