On February 14-17, the Chardonnay Travelers had their February outing at Heritage RV Park in Corning, CA. The outing started out a little on the wet side since Northern California was experiencing a lot of rain that caused flooding on several of the major highways on which our members were traveling. Luckily, everyone made it safely and the outing progressed as planned.
Our planned activities included bowling at a local bowling alley, a trip to the local quilt shop close to the RV Park, working on a large puzzle that one of our members brought, dinner out at Casa Ramos a local Mexican eatery, and a private tour and wine tasting at the New Clairvaux Winery nearby in Vina, California. Our guide was a wonderful young man with a strong history background. He shared very interesting historical facts regarding the area in and around the winery. It was a very interesting and pleasant afternoon.
Our Saturday evening included a potluck dinner, and a game of Left-Right-Center. Our co-hosts did a wonderful job of preparing a Valentine’s Day welcome dinner, planning activities/tours, and making the club house welcoming for us all. The Chardonnay Travelers have plans for lots of fun activities in the coming months of 2019 as well as attending California State and Western Regional Meetings.
