We-Wan-To-Go Chapter of Central Iowa Holds Its First Function of 2019
The first noon luncheon of the new 2019 year was hosted by Wanda Wendt with a return to the Buffet City Chinese Restaurant in Clive on Saturday, January 19, 2019.
There were just six member units present out of 33 for 18% attendance. Our diminished turnout was largely due to so many snowbirds being out-of-town and the fact that a Friday evening snow storm ‘blew’ through the area. Overnight, central Iowa was the recipient of about six inches of horizontal snow, 25 plus knot winds, and wind chill temperatures approaching 0°. Those intrepid We-Wan-To-Go members who braved the harsh winter weather and made it to Clive were Reggie and Carolyn Andersen, Roger Cox, Stan and Stella Huber, Dick and Lynda Pawlowski, Bill and Karen Pearce, and Wanda Wendt.
There was a lot of table talk about the Pearce’s upcoming trip to Hawaii (no, not in their motorhome) and Andersen’s trip to Gulf Shores, AL (yes, in their RV).
