Even with the rather cold weather for early November in Branson, I think our Friendship campout was a great success. We had seven coaches attend Treasure Lake over Veterans Day weekend.
Two coaches included new members – Nancy and Kelly Collings and their friend Jim came in Nancy’s (new to her) 2014 Winnebago Aspect. Nancy is from Pleasant Hill, MO and a retired school teacher. Also, joining us on their first campout with the Chief Winnies was Lorraine Gehring and Rex Deaver in their 2000 Itasca Sunrise. Lorraine and Rex
live in Overland Park, KS. It’s great to have so many new members. It was also very special to see Bob & Marie Wollin and hear about their great adventure this past summer to
Alaska. Bob & Marie participated in 56 day Winnebago Adventure up the Alaska Highway through the Yukon, Northwest Territories to Alaska. On Friday night, after our dinner, Bob & Marie showed us a slide show from their trip. What a terrific bucket list adventure! I think you’ve got several of us itching to make a similar trip.
Saturday night’s show, The Haygood’s, was a special treat. Bobbi & I hadn’t seen them before. I didn’t realize that this group of five brothers and their sister have been performing in Branson for 26 years. That’s an amazing statistic and it was an amazing show. Thanks to Joy Murphy for getting the entire Mo-Tasca State group discounted tickets to the show.
