AUGUST 2018 NEWSLETTER
Jim & Janet Detwiler hosted the August 9-12, 2018, campout at the Indian Trails Campground in Fitchville.
Thursday’s dinner was on our own and most went to Berry’s Restaurant in Norwalk.
Everyone was thrilled that Jim & Joyce came north to be with us. It was just like old times with them. The Smiths have a new Class C Winnebago motorhome to travel in. From here they will be visiting friends and family and traveling on to New York City for a RV Adventures tour.
Later, Larry & Nancy Holkenborg and Chris & Becky Harlan drove down and joined the group for dinner at the Bridge Bar & Grill in Willard. Since we had a private room, the chapter meeting was held here after dinner.
Jan & Jerry are leaving Tuesday, August 14, for Alaska with their two daughters and sons-in-law.
Janet and Jim Detwiler informed everyone that they will be selling their RV, but would visit us often. They will be missed.
Saturday morning, many campers drove into Norwalk to meet Chris at the Firelands Historical Museum for a personal tour.
Saturday night was the potluck at the pavilion at the other end of the campground. It was a pleasant night but a long walk.
The dogs, Tara, Toby and Teddy, were getting along and entertaining everyone. Toby did well off leash until he took off and Jan had to run after him. A lot of laughter and teasing as we socialized.
Happy trails Chris & Becky Harlan
