November−A record-breaking number of 26 coaches attended our last campout of the season. We welcomed three coaches from out of state as well as several new members, first timers, and one couple attending as a guest.
Mary Favaro, Frances Butler, and Geri Galloway spent Thursday morning making the table decorations for Saturday evening.
Friday evening we enjoyed our usual potluck dinner—so many great dishes and desserts to count.
Saturday morning Bojangles catered our breakfast at the campground. It was great food and a welcome change from everyone going out to a local restaurant. It allowed us to have a relaxed breakfast and our business meeting without the rush to leave a restaurant. Following our breakfast, we had our 50/50 drawing and Neily Trump was the winner of half of our biggest 50/50 ever.
Saturday afternoon Don and Betty Elliott hosted an ice cream social. We had ice cream with some toppings and brownies. Ice cream is always a good idea, even if it is cold outside.
Saturday evening we had a catered holiday meal with turkey, ham, and all the holiday fixings to go along with it. There was so much food, no one went away hungry. Following dinner, we had a drawing for a few door prizes.
Sunday morning most everyone packed up to head for home. It was a great camping season and we look forward to our first campout next year.
