A GREAT place to stop by on your way to the Grand National Rally...

The Iowa Winnie Hawks would like to welcome you to the “Fabulous 50s” Iowa State Rally. Lots of fun activities, seminars, and a tour or two are planned.

Registration and activity signups (Golf Cart Rodeo, Pilot/Co-Pilot game, Bags Tournament, Jenga, and Family Feud) open Thursday morning. Also on Thursday will be a tour of the Kinze Manufacturing Innovation Center and factory, happy hour, opening ceremonies, the start of the silent auction and book exchange, and a potluck dinner followed by a campfire with s'mores (weather permitting, otherwise indoor games) and fellowship.

Friday includes a tour of the National Advanced Driving Simulator, a transportation safety research center at the University of Iowa.

Live entertainment featuring music from the 50s and 60s is planned for Saturday evening.

Those who may arrive early or wish to stay over an extra couple of days can take advantage of the rally rate ($28.89 per additional night) at Amana RV Park starting Sunday, July 7 through Monday night, July 15. Make these arrangements and pay for extra nights directly with Amana RV Park.

After the rally, those staying can enjoy corn husking and a potluck/sweetcorn feed followed by a movie and popcorn on Sunday.

Rally fees includes 3 nights camping (Thursday, Friday, Saturday) with full hookups, 50 amp electric; Friday and Saturday breakfast and catered evening meals, and continental breakfast on Sunday. If paid by June 15:

1 Rig, 2 people: $215; 1 Rig/1 Person: $165. Extra attendees: $50 ($30 if age 12 or under)

Late payments, received after June 15:

1 Rig, 2 people: $225; 1 Rig/1 Person: $175. Extra attendees: $50 ($30 if age 12 or under)

Cancellations: A full refund will be given if reservations are canceled by June 27. Fifty percent refund if reservations are canceled by July 4. No refunds for cancellations made after July 4.

WIT Singles Rally

July 16-21, 2019

Forest City, IA

Greetings, all! It's now time to focus on this year's WIT Singles Rally and GNR. Dates for the WIT Singles Rally are July 16-21 with GNR (Grand National Rally) immediately following July 22-26. Our rally will begin on Tuesday, July 16, as club members begin arriving in Forest City. Parking on the rally grounds starts at noon on July 16 and is from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm daily through Monday, July 22. 

You recently received an email from the WIT Club providing information on registering for GNR. Be sure to read it thoroughly to get all the details you need. Fees for early camping, $15 per night, will be collected when you arrive on rally grounds---note that early camping is not included in the GNR fees.   Please note that early camping fees must be paid by cash or check. 

WIT Singles Club dues of $5 will also be collected when you arrive on site. If you are brand new to our club, there is an additional, one-time fee of $10 to join the club. This year we are also collecting a $5 rally fee.

If you require 50 amp service, be sure to note that when you register for GNR and also indicate that you would like to be parked near where the Singles are parked.  We have not had 50 amp service in our row in previous years, and do not anticipate that we will have it this year either. We will have 30 amp as in the past. 

It is not required that you park with the WIT Singles to be a member of our club. We have several members who are members of multiple WIT clubs and choose to park with one of their other clubs but still join us for activities.

We will kick off this year's WIT Singles Rally with breakfast on Wednesday, July 17. We will also start our daily Happy Hour at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, July 17. We are looking forward to making 2019 our biggest and best rally yet! To do so, we need YOU! 

 

 

MILWIT National Rally

Our 28th Anniversary Annual Rally is planned for July 17-21, 2019, and we need to have every MILWIT member possible to participate in this event. The WIT Club Grand National Rally is scheduled for July 22-27, 2019. These are two separate events but located in the same location. Both events will be at the Forest City Winnebago RV camping area and all reservations for space must be made through the WIT club. Make sure to let them know you want to park with the MILWIT group or they may put you in a location that is very inconvenient. Click on this link to register for the 2019 GNR.

Presidents Club Rally

Forest City, IA

July 21-26, 2019

The Presidents Club will have their annual rally starting on Sunday July 21st thru Friday July 26th.

The Presidents Club will be hosting the Pre-Rally Bingo games in Friendship Hall during Pre-Rally week. The dates are Tuesday (7/16) and Wednesday (7/17) starting at 7:00 pm.  Please come and bring your friends for an evening of fun and friendship.

The first event will be the annual dinner on Sunday July 21st starting at 6:15pm, at Waldorf University at 106 S 6th St. and is located behind the courthouse. The event will be in the Atrium room and the entrance is located between the 2 porches with white columns on the ground level. This event is for members and for anyone that is a current or past president of a state, local chapter, special interest and province. The cost of the meal is $8.00 for members and $13.50 per person for non-members. The evening will start at 6:15 with check-in, then appetizers, this is a time for socializing, fun and getting to know the officers and club members. The meal will be at 7:00 pm. There will be a 50/50 raffle and door prizes. Anyone wanting more information about the event can contact the Treasurers Glenda & John Erdmann at jgerdmann@gmail.com or call 507-429-7694. Will need count by Thursday July 18th, so that the Food Manager has time to prepare enough food for the event.

The Chat & Chew and Club’s Annual Meeting will be a combined event this year and will be held on Tuesday July 23th and will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm in Seminar Tent “B”. This event is for members and anyone that is a current or past president to have time together to find out about the club and to exchange ideas, information and ways to help improve their clubs and chapters. The club is planning to have hot dogs, baked beans and chips for the chat & chew portion of the event. The Chat will start at 5:00, then the Chew will start around 5:30 and annual meeting will be around 6:00. If you plan to attend, please let President Janice Sagle know at vcrcjan@aol.com. There will be no charge for members and cost of $2.50 per person for non-member. Will need count by Friday July 19th to have enough food prepared.

New England Rally
Lancaster, NH
August 8-11, 2019
 
The 2019 New England Pirates of the Caribbean Rally will be hosted by the Granite State Winnies of NH at the Lancaster Fairgrounds in Lancaster, NH from August 9th to August 11th, 2019. Early bird arrival will also be available on Thursday, August 8th.  
 
Lancaster, NH is in the heart of the Great Northwoods of NH and the Fairgrounds face Mt. Washington, which has an elevation of 6,288.2 feet and the most topographically prominent mountain east of the Mississippi. If you are a hiker, enjoy a hike to the summit or drive your car or take a coach to the summit on the Auto Road. Or if you prefer, take the Mt. Washington Cog Railway to the summit, which is only a 30 minute drive from the Fairgrounds. If fishing is what you prefer to do, the Fairgrounds are on the Connecticut River that divides New Hampshire and Vermont or slightly more than an hour away are the Connecticut Lakes that border Canada. Fine dining and views are also available at two of the nations Grand Hotels being the Mt. Washington Hotel in Breton Woods or the Mountain View Grand Resort & Spa in Whitefield both within 30 minutes of the Fairgrounds. There is much to see and do beyond the Rally at this location.
 
The Rally fee includes two nights of camping with water, sewer and 30 AMPs at each site, a pancake breakfast on Saturday morning, a continental breakfast on Sunday morning, dinner on Friday and Saturday evenings, a wine and cheese social, an ice cream social, and two nights of professional entertainment from New York and Rhode Island. Each registrant will also receive a door prize. For an additional $35 you can arrive on Thursday get an extra night in the Great Northwoods, and take part in a paper bag auction on Thursday evening. Please bring to the auction an item in a paper bag or covered by multiple bags that will be auctioned off without revealing what the item is. All proceeds from the Auction and the Rally will be donated to the New Hampshire Make-A-Wish Foundation. Early birds who arrive on Thursday morning will also have the choice of being entered into a lottery to have each wheel of their coach weighed by the NH State Police who have agreed to do this as part of a public safety event. Please be sure to indicate on your registration form that you are interested in being part of the lottery as only a limited number of coaches will be able to be weighed on Thursday afternoon. Anyone wishing to take part in the lottery will need to arrive by noon on Thursday. You will be notified prior to the Rally if you won the weigh-in lottery so that you can arrive in ample time to be weighed. Also, on Thursday afternoon at 4:00 PM, there will be a potluck social. Please bring your favorite beverage with you and heavy hors d’oeuvres to share with all.  
 
So start putting your Pirates of the Caribbean costumes together to wear throughout the Rally but particularly at Saturday’s dinner and show. Registrations must be received by July 6th to get the following pricing: 1 coach (2 people) $195; 1 coach (1 person) $160; additional guest age 6 and up $75. Please add $35 per coach for early arrival on Thursday, August 8th. Registrations received after July 6th add $35 to the registration fee. New York State Rally
Herkimer, NY
September 5-8, 2019

It's rally time! Bring your bling to the 2019 NYS Rally in Herkimer, NY. Come and experience beautiful central New York. This years state rally will be held at the Herkimer County Fairgrounds in Herkimer, NY September 5-8.


This years theme will be “Puttin’ on the Ritz.” Come and tour the world famous Herkimer Diamond Mine, or cruise the Erie Canal. The cost will be $225 per 2 person coach/ $190 for 1 person coach. $50 per additional guest. This includes your 3 night stay with 30 amp hookup and community water. Your fee also includes 2 catered breakfasts, 2 catered dinners, and a continental breakfast on Sunday morning. Thursday night will be a potluck dinner. Bring your favorite dish to share! There are also a few 50 amp spots available, at no extra charge. These will go on a first come first serve basis, so register early to ensure your spot. As in the past, there will be entertainment, raffles, 50/50, door prizes and giveaways. So don’t miss out on all the fun and good times.

Oregon State Rally

Rickreall, OR

September 18-22, 2019

This year’s rally is going to be the most fun ever. Join us as we go to Mardi Gras in Oregon. This year’s rally is coming together with some of your favorite activities, and some new ones as well.  Here are a few of the confirmed activities for this year’s event.

Seminars:

SkyMed will be here helping to sponsor a continental breakfast and give a couple of seminars. Henderson’s Line up will be here and as of this time will be bringing equipment to provide inspections and some repairs on your “RV Ride.” They said they want to do something special for the 50th anniversary of the WIT Club.

Dan Edgecomb from Guaranty RV will be presenting his always informative RV 101 and 201 seminars.
Things we are working on include an advanced RV driving school and a number of craft activities. As always, Bean Bag Baseball will be played.

Last year we had a couple of pre rally activities, and we are working on more for this year. For example, Johann Winery, Rickreall, has offered a tour of the winery, wine tasting and a box lunch picnic. Please indicate your interest on the registration form. Details are still being finalized.

Our caterer is preparing 3 delicious dinners and we always have continental breakfast available in the mornings. Our dress up Mardi Gras party, and dance will be held Friday night September 20. Be sure to dress up as there will be prizes. You may even want to dress up your motorhome.  

We have vendors that have already agreed to attend this year’s rally. One of our most popular vendors is Creations by Teri. Each year they provide an opportunity for you to “bling” up just about anything you want. For the last several years they have designed “rally shirts” reflecting the theme for the year. With the attention on Mardi Gras in Oregon, this year will be no exception.

Rally fees for this year are $195 per coach (two people), and $155 for a single. The rally begins Wednesday September 18, with the First Timer Orientation, followed by a no host dinner at a local restaurant. We are happy to report that extra parking, Monday and Tuesday has been reduced this year to only $20 per night. Come early and participate in some pre-rally activities.

As we continue to add to this year’s program, we will send updates to all registered guests. I look forward to seeing many of our previous attendees as well as many new friends.

Virginia State Rally

Virginia Beach, VA

September 20-22, 2019 

The Holiday Trav-L-Park in the beautiful resort city of Virginia Beach, VA is the location of the 2019 WIT Virginia State Rally. The Tidewater Tascas will be your hosts and our theme is BEACH BLANKET BAGO U.S.A.!
 
Beach Blanket Bago, that’s the name of the game, so make your plans now and don’t be lame. Friends, sun, sand and sea, that sounds like the rally for me!
 
Plan on joining us at the beach for a fun-filled experience. We will have vendors, games, seminars, coaches to tour, and entertainment throughout the weekend. There will be a potluck dinner (bring a dish to share) for early arrivals on Thursday evening followed by social time and games. There are many local attractions to visit: The Virginia Aquarium, Military bases, Fort Story Lighthouse, the NAS Oceana air show featuring the Thunderbirds, and many others to choose from. So come early and stay late!
 
The rally fees:  One unit 2 people $175 (after August 15: $195); One unit 1 person $145 (after August 15: $165); each additional person $60, children 6 and under free. Each additional car over the first registered car is $10 per night. Additional nights are $60 per night, good for 3 days prior and 2 days after rally. T-shirts for the rally are pre-order only, use registration form to reserve one!

Tennessee State Rally

Come, join and enjoy the Fall colors at the Tennessee State Rally, just a few miles from Nashville’s Music City. Tennessee is noted for the birthplace of Bluegrass in East TN, Home of Country Music in Central TN, and the Birthplace of Rock-N-Roll (Elvis) and the Blues (Beale St.) in West TN.

Check in early to visit area attractions and attend pre-rally tours to the Cracker Barrel Warehouse Décor Center, the Nissan Automobile Plant, and other local attractions. Other activities will include free Drivers Training in a Motor Home, various individual and team games, live evening entertainment, auction, workshops, vendors, cake walk and more. If enough interest, we will schedule a pre-rally golf outing.

We will start off Thursday evening with Tennessee Hospitality Food table and followed by catered meals on Friday and Saturday. I hear some line dancing, CPR/defibrillator training and some new RV recommended cooking methods may be offered. As always, our mascot “Davy Crockett” will be hanging around the rally.

Texas State Rally

Mineola, TX

October 17-20, 2019

"Fabulous Fifties Fun"

Y’all come ‘cause you won’t want to miss this one! TEXAS is having its 2019 TEXAS STATE RALLY in Mineola October 17-20! Everyone is invited and we look forward to entertaining our out-of-state friends. Less than 175 miles from Ardmore, OK and just over 100 miles from Shreveport, LA, we hope to see many of our neighbors from both near and far! 

Plan to arrive early so that you can join us on Thursday for a tour of a dairy farm where the cows milk themselves, but only when they’re good and ready! That afternoon we’ll enjoy a little “Sip ‘n’ Shop” in wonderful, historic Mineola. (Before 1873 the place was called Sodom, as in “-- and Gomorrah”.) During the weekend those delightful folks with the Dutch Ovens will be back to demo their hobby and serve us their tasty treats. Once again we will have a rig-washer on hand for the weekend!

We’ll have lots of games – the usual Corn Hole Toss, Bean Bag Baseball, Joker, Skip-BO and Card Bingo but we’ll be adding something new: a Funny Photo Scavenger Hunt with prizes. Think you can win? Then on Saturday evening there will be a fabulous 50’s Band, Shake, Rattle & Roll, an all-female 50s & 60s Tribute Show Group bringing back an era that brings back such sweet memories! The songs, the singing, the costumes and the comedy will keep you glued to your seat and tapping your toes – unless you want to get up and dance the night away! In fact, now is the time to dust off those cherished 50’s or 60s outfits still hanging in the back of your closet or storage space and plan to compete for the prize for the “Best Attire / Best Dance Moves” of the evening! Rally fees are only $150 for 1 rig, 2 people ($110 for 1 rig, 1 person) for two nights camping (Friday, & Saturday nights), entertainment and catered meals (two catered dinners, one catered country breakfast, and one continental breakfast, not to mention our traditional potluck dinner on Thursday night). Extra nights at the Mineola Civic Center are only an extra $25 each – so you can join us on the Waldo Way Dairy Farm tour (Thursday morning). Plan on coming early and staying late so you can visit longer!

In case you’ve missed our great Mineola gatherings in the past, the Mineola Civic Center RV Park is a great facility with paved roads, level cement pads and plenty of grass. The auditorium is huge, has a great stage, and plenty of meeting rooms. And, as always, we’ll be having the fantastic catering of the Mineola Civic Center, great vendors and all the comradery of the road. While you’re in the vicinity, there is soooo much to see: good antique shopping, a great quilting shop, museums of the railroad, of history and a lovely nature preserve.

California State Rally

In the fall, CalWIT (California Club) will be spending 5 days in Sonora, California. It is located in the beautiful and historic Gold Country of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. We will be close to Columbia State Park which includes the original town from the 1850’s. We will also be in driving distance of Yosemite National Park. The rally runs from October 17th to the 21st. Florida Chapters Reunion & Friendship Party

Sponsored by the Caloosa Winnies of Southwest Florida, the 3rd annual Florida Chapters Reunion Friendship Party will be held at Lazy Days RV Resort beginning February 17, 2020. This event will be full of sunshine and fun at our “ROARING 20’s” Party for the first 200 coaches to register! Our attendees will be allowed to invite their friends that have other brands of RV’s to join us.
 
Get ready for a jam packed 5 days and 4 nights including 3 nights of LIVE entertainment! Headlining on Thursday evening: “The Marlinaires Band” performing their musical concert with a variety of style, sound & presentation that makes this a unique evening of family entertainment! Tuesday evening we will present “Shania/Live”, a tribute show to Shania Twain! She will captivate our audience with her talent and charm! Wednesday evening—back by popular demand will be our D.J. Anthony Mac playing music for listening and dancing! Monday evening will be our traditional Bingo Games, with all proceeds being returned to the winners in attendance!
