On Sunday January 7, 2018, 13 members gathered at the Long Horn Restaurant in North Haven, CT for our first luncheon of the new year. It has been so cold and snowy, but everyone was happy to be together and share stories and all pretty much agreed it looks like it’s going to be a long winter. Inevitably, talk got around to getting those motorhomes out of storage and on the road in the Spring. Everyone is looking forward to the Greater New England Rally on Cape Cod in June. We ate and talked and people seemed reluctant to leave. Beth Knoblach brought sweet treats for everyone and we thank her for that. We want to thank Tom and Evelyn Isaac for hosting a great time for us all.
Sixteen Winnies gathered at the Outback Steakhouse in Orange, CT on February 11, 2018 for our monthly winter luncheon. It was hosted by Bridget and Larry Warner. It was a rainy day for travelling but at least it wasn’t snow. We celebrated February birthdays and an anniversary and everyone spent a lot of time talking about upcoming club campouts and the Greater New England Rally. Allen Kendzior, our newest member, had a company make up CT Nutmeg Winnie shirt, baseball cap and garden flag for himself and offered the services to anyone else who wishes to order. Folks are getting anxious to uncover those motorhomes and start camping. Unfortunately that will have to wait a bit as we are getting another snowstorm. Spring will eventually come and the sooner the better.
