December-The Coasters held there Christmas campout at Holiday Travel Park in Virginia Beach with nine rigs attending.
Most arrived on Thursday and Betty Coolman cooked a pork roast and potatoes for supper and Chelsie Coolman made chili, so we did not go hungry. We started a jigsaw puzzle and had games of Skip-Bo and Mexican train all going on.
Friday morning Duke Coolman, Sherri, and Betty cooked breakfast. Everyone seemed to enjoy it. Of course there were more games and puzzles following breakfast.
In the afternoon, the others arrived and we all went out to eat seafood and then back to the campground to continue the puzzle and games.
Saturday morning the men cooked breakfast and, of course, the puzzle and games went on. For supper, our hosts, Brenda and Chauncey Ayers, provided fried and baked chicken with the attendees bringing side dishes and desserts—a very good meal.
Our gift exchange followed with some great gifts exchanged and everyone seemed pleased with what they received. Pam Chalkley then had us play some unusual games with candy canes. It was a lot of fun. You guessed it, more games and puzzles followed. We had a marathon of games going on and finished a total of four jigsaw puzzles.
Thanks to our hosts, it was good times and a good turnout.
