December - The Bago Cajuns gathered at Poche’s Fish-N-Camp in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana for their annual Christmas gathering. Thursday was a rainy and cold day. Several members came in early to beat the rain and cold then hunkered down to get through it, while others waited to come in on Friday after the weather had cleared! Thankfully the sun did come out Friday and warmed things up nicely by midday. Members gathered in the clubhouse to visit and share some Christmas cheer as Andy Bienvenu cooked us a gumbo to help warm us up and start the Christmas celebration with a scrumptious meal and lots of fun and friendship with everyone in a festive mood.
On Saturday morning several members worked together to prepare a delicious breakfast of biscuits and sausage for the group. Breakfast was followed by the business meeting. Members then took some time for lunch on their own and several went into town for some Christmas window shopping in the local shops. Everyone gathered together again during the afternoon bringing in gifts and finger foods for the Christmas party and the party was on! As always, all of the treats were delicious and abundant and we had a great time playing a new game for exchanging gifts using a deck of cards to determine who got which gifts! Everyone went away with a nice gift and a full tummy and lots of happy memories of yet another fun Christmas with good friends.
On Sunday, members began heading home with plans to meet again after the New Year and make lots more wonderful memories in 2018!
