October−Hi, everyone. Thanks to all who attended the CALWIT rally in Sonora. Nestled in the center of CA's Gold Country at the Mother Lode Fairgrounds with a backdrop of beautiful
oak trees, we all enjoyed the nice weather and the great meals provided by three of our chapters. A special thanks to the Mission Bell Travelers and the Fresno Floaters for their delicious dinners and to the Lone Cypress Winnitascans for a delicious breakfast. Beanbag baseball is always something our group enjoys. We had over 60 players participating in the tournament. Lots of fun! Steve Woods was back again entertaining us with our favorite country and oldies music.
Butch and Becky Moore, our WIT Western Area Representatives, ran a spirited night of card bingo. We put them to work before they headed off into retirement. The CALWIT rally was their next-to-last WIT event (the NV rally being the last) before they become full-timers in their beautiful Forza motorhome. Thank you, Butch and Becky, for all your help and advice. We know you'll enjoy your retirement and we'll see you down the road.
Last, but definitely not least, is a salute to our outgoing President Joe Macaluso. Thank you, Joe, for making sure that everything ran smoothly with our club. You did a great job as our leader and we all appreciate your service and your effort.
