April−John Wayne said, "Courage is being scared to death, but saddling up anyway." In April, twenty-one members of the Peninsula WIT club braved the rain and Pacific Northwest weather for a great outing and fun meeting at the John Wayne Marina and RV Park.
They saddled up and drove to Sequim Bay, WA for four days of fun and games. Cowboys John and Bob and cowgirls Marylou and Dar hosted this outing with grilled hamburgers, sides, and desserts galore. John set up his cowboy coffee on Friday morning, had Frisbee golf for those who wanted to play, and guessing games at the WIT "glow with prizes." Do you know the horse that Annie Oakley rode? We do!
Several members drove into town to take advantage of the unique shops and great winetasting. Others hung out at the campsite, took walks in the Marina Park, played cribbage, and Frisbee golf. If you're a WIT club fan, this outing was a ten.
For the first time, our vice president, Mike Boylan, hosted the meeting this month and did a great job. Many thanks to our officers and hosts for putting together this fun campout.
