January−Our Jan. 20-22 outing was held at French Camp RV Park just north of Manteca off Highway 99. Eight rigs were in attendance. This is the time of year when quite a few of our members travel, as well as those with colds and flu. We also had a horrific rainstorm with gale force winds predicted. The Millers and Masons were wagonmasters for this outing. Early arrivals on Thursday went to the grill at the RV park for lunch and dinner. The food was very good.
We woke up to rain on Friday, but that didn't deter us from having fun. The Millers had planned a bowling/lunch outing for the group at Manteca Bowl. What a blast we all had!!! We all laughed so hard since it had been many years since we had bowled, although you wouldn't know by some of the scores. For dinner that night, we had a great meal prepared by the wagonmasters. Dice and cards commenced after dinner.
On Saturday, breakfast was prepared by the wagonmasters. It was very tasty! After breakfast, we had our chapter meeting lead by our 2017 officers. Our afternoon activities included some members going to a local winery. Some learned a new card game and we also brought a beanbag toss game inside the clubhouse to play because it was so cold and windy outside. At happy hour we played bingo. Judy prepared a really great dinner. It was yummy! We were so full that we waited until later in the evening to put out dessert. We played our usual game of dice and cards.
On Sunday morning, we had a continental breakfast of bagels and cream cheese. Having had a fun weekend with our Golden Bear Winnie family, we look forward to a lot of us getting together.
