Pennsylvania State Rally

June 9-11, 2017
Centre Hall, PA

VIVA LA WIT! Come join us for Las Vegas style fun for the weekend! Fun, games, music, laughter and good food! Remember what happens here stays here, unless we put it in the WIT magazine!

Thursday night is HOT DOG night, with all the trimmings and  our annual big bingo night.

Friday, after the opening ceremony, seminars and vendors will be available. A special supper will be served, followed by our famous ice cream social. Bring your favorite bowl, or use one of ours, and feast on ice cream with all the toppings.

In the evening a rare opportunity for music - a Jam Session. If you play a musical instrument that you can bring, or like to sing along, join us in an evening Jam Session. Songs from folk of the past to new traditions will be on tap. Come and listen and/or sing along...lots of fun for all! If you are planning to participate, please add your musical instrument or write in 'sing-a-long' on the registration form for planning purposes.

Saturday the Bean Bag championship is scheduled followed by a wine and cheese party before a sit down dinner. The evening’s entertainment will be a Casino Night with “our money” - no gambling involved. Here is a chance to try casino type games with no regrets! A good time will surely be enjoyed!

We will be supporting two special charities this year: The Local Food Pantry - asking all to donate money or non-perishable food for the needy in Centre County (due to regulations we cannot accept food that is outdated) or the Juniata Pet Shelter - these animals are in need of pet food and monetary donations. 

The PA Rally is held at the Centre Hall Grange Fairgrounds, Centre Hall, PA. Entrance to the fairgrounds is 169 Homan Lane off Rt.45. Zipcode is 16828 for GPS/maps information.

Directions: If using I-80 (East or West) Exit 161 - follow 220S/I-99 S to Exit 73 for Rt. 322W - follow to exit for Rt. 45 E (2nd exit - Old Fort, Route 45 East) go 6.5 miles, turn left onto Homan Lane. From the south and central areas: Rt. 322 W to Rt. 144N, left at Rt. 45W Exit Old Fort (Route 45 is the 2nd edit). Old Fort, Route 45 East. Entrance to the fairgrounds, from the light at 45/144 is approximately 1/2 on right. From the west: follow I-80 as above or PA turnpike and follow routes for south/central. 

Rally Fees: For 3 days (Thursday - Sunday) with water and electric $150 per rig/2 people. $125 per rig/1 person. Extra person: $25 per person. Registration deadline is May 12, 2017 or late fees apply.

Late Fees: Will apply May 13, 2017 - $160 per rig/2 people, $135 per rig/1 person. Extra person remainds at $25.

Cancellations: Full refund will be given is reservations are cancelled prior to May 13, less a $15 charge per person.

MILWIT Western Area Rally

June 12-20, 2017

Durant, OK

The Military Winnebago International Travelers Club (MILWIT) Western Area Rally & Pre-Rally will be held June 12 – 20, 2017 at the Choctaw Resort, 3650 Enterprise Blvd., Durant, OK 74701. We are inviting any owner of a Winnebago RV product to join with us during this rally.

Bill Speer and Doug Cashmore will be co-hosting with our Host Carmine Liscio. This will be a great opportunity for us to gather prior to the MILWIT Annual Rally. Our plan is to provide a great rally for all MILWIT members and any Winnebago RV product owners who would like to join us.

The MILWIT rally fee will be $25.00 for each person. Children 16 and under will be free. The facility includes a swimming pool, movie theaters, and plenty of activities to occupy the children. There are three restaurants on site along with many amenities. We will have a meeting room & kitchen facilities that will be provided by our host, the Oklahoma Choctaw Resort. A more detailed itinerary will be posted on the MILWIT web site (www.MILWIT.org) prior to the rally.

All sites are drive thru on an 80 ft. concrete pad with full hookups (30-50 amps), the parking fee will be: $30.00 per night collected by the Resort at the time of check-in. You can obtain a registration form on-line at the MILWIT web site (www.MILWIT.org). Illinois State Rally

June 21-25, 2017

ILLINOIS STATE RALLY

June 21st-25th

          Unlike the saying “What Happens in Vegas, Stays in Vegas”, we want to spread the word about what’s happening at the Illinois State Rally on June 21st-25th at the Iroquois County Fairgrounds, Crescent City, IL.

            On your arrival on Wednesday, you will be greeted by the members of Windy City who will help you in parking and setting up.  For dinner, the state officers welcome everyone with a cook-out, all we ask is for you to bring a side dish to share.  On Thursday, we do encourage everyone to patronize our local restaurants.  Friday and Saturday evening meals will be catered and Saturday breakfast will be prepared by Little Egypt Winnies.  Winnebago RV Insurance will also sponsor an ice cream social.

            Activity coordinators, Winnie Poos are planning activities throughout the Rally.  One of these will be a tour of Incobrasa Industries in Gilman, IL on Thursday.  They are a privately-owned corporation that operates a soybean processing business, trading soybean products in the domestic market.  They are not able to handle people who use wheelchairs or walkers due to the steps we will be using.  Afterwards, we will have lunch at Monical’s Pizza in Gilman, so if you are unable to do the tour, please join us for lunch. On your way, back to the fairgrounds be sure to stop in at The Gathering.  They have been a big supporter of the Illinois Indians for many years.  Also, we will have a craft contest and encourage all crafters to enter.  The Best of Show will automatically be entered in the Grand National Rally Craft Contest.          

            Once again, everyone will have the opportunity to help out at the Watseka Food Pantry on Friday. They can only accommodate around 20 people, so be sure to fill out the registration form if you are interested.  Please save your plastic grocery bags for a food pantry project and don’t forget we still collect non-perishable items for the food pantry.  Jerry & Nancy Bican have gracefully accepted hosting a Golf Outing on Friday morning.

            Cardinal Capers are planning the games throughout the Rally so come and be prepared to have some fun.  Individual awards will be given for various game winners and an overall chapter winner based on averages of the Chapter.  That way, the smaller Chapters have an equal chance of winning! 

            Our WIT Central Representatives, Patrick & Janet Wright, will be attending our Rally.  As always, they will have the WIT store and the 2017 GNR t-shirts for sale.  Seminars, craft session, yard sale, book sale, door prizes, 50/50 Raffle, $$ Hat and a silent auction will be going on throughout the Rally.  Out theme this year is “Fabulous Winnebago” and Prairie Scooners along with members of the state are giving us an atmosphere of being in Las Vegas.

            We will not forget the children that will be attending.  Plans are to have a kid craft as well as games.  Just one thing, don’t forget your bikes!  The fairgrounds are a wonderful place for kids to ride bikes without the fear of fast cars.

            I have saved the best for last.  Thanks to Toby & Barb Watne our entertainment will be AWESOME!!!!  On Friday, we will be entertained by Wes Wheeler’s ACCOUSTIC: UNLIMITED Show.  He is a mixture of Jeff Foxworthy, Johnny Cash, Eagles & Tom Petty all into one.  You will hear Classic Comedy Tunes like “If My Nose Was Running Money” and “Ghost Chickens in The Sky” as well as Country Standards like “Crazy” and “King of the Road”.  He will entertain you with hilarious childhood stories, guitar instrumentals and much more.  Then on Saturday our entertainment will be by a high energy Musical Variety Show called “Cowboy and Hobo Show.”  They play

Older Country, Classic Rock and Roll, Folk Music and just a touch of Blue Grass.  The group which includes “Cactus Willie” (nephew of legendary Bluegrass musician Lester Flatt),” Boxcar Bob” and “The Drifter” and are noted for their tight vocal arrangements and harmony as well as the variety of music they play.  They have performed across the Rio Grande Valley and in many other venues throughout Texas. 

            The Registration Fee of only $160.00 for two-person unit or $140.00 for one-person unit includes 4 nights camping, 30amp Electric and Water, Dump Station, 1 Breakfast, 2 Dinners, Seminars, Tours, and Great Entertainment.  Additions adults-$25.00, Youth-$15.00.  Additional day of parking-$15.00 each night.  Registration fee will be due by June 10th.

Iowa State Rally

New adventures to be had – this year the Iowa State Rally is moving to the Franklin County Fairgrounds in Hampton, IA. Hampton is located just 60 miles south of Forest City. A great stop off place to get geared up for GNR. There will be new sites and sounds for everyone. We are still in the planning stages and will adding further details and events as they are finalized.

MILWIT National Rally

July 11-16, 2017

The Military Winnebago International Travelers (MILWITs) invites those persons who are active duty, reserve, or retired members of the Armed Forces of any nation to visit with us during our National Rally this year. 

The Annual MILWIT Rally will once again be held during the Pre-GNR period starting July 11, 2017. As always, the hosts for this event are the MILWIT officers. When the date draws closer, and the plans start to form, we will have more information posted on the MILWIT web site (www.MILWIT.org) and will let you know more in the newsletter. Start thinking about what you would like to see and do during the Annual Rally and let me know your suggestions. We need to plan to have some sort of end-of-row display and I’m looking for ideas and people to help setting that up. Please contact me as soon as possible so those plans can be started.

WIT Singles Rally

July 11-16, 2017

It's time to focus on this year's WIT Singles Rally.  Dates for our 2017 WIT Singles Rally are July 11-16 with GNR immediately following July 17-22. Our rally will begin on Tuesday, July 11, as club members begin arriving in Forest City, but there undoubtedly will be a few of us early birds who will appear before that date and will be scattered about town eagerly awaiting entry to the rally grounds!

Our rally theme for 2017 will be “Happy 30th Birthday, WIT Singles International Club.” Yes, our special interest club was chartered 30 years ago! We have had commemorative pins made specifically for our rally, and all current club members and all new club members who join during our Singles Rally or during GNR will receive this special, one-time pin.


The registration form and all details for GNR are included in the WIT Club News magazine. Be sure to read it thoroughly to get all the details you need. Fees for early camping, $15 per night, will be collected when you arrive on rally grounds---note that early camping is not included in the GNR fees. WIT Singles Club dues of $5 will also be collected when you arrive on site. If you are brand new to our club, there is an additional, one-time fee of $10 to join the club.

If you require 50 amp service, be sure to note that on your GNR registration form and also indicate that you would like to be parked near where the Singles are parked. Please note that our row has 30 amp service, but not 50 amp.

Presidents Club Rally

July 16-22, 2017

The Presidents Club wants to invite you to join them and mark these dates regarding their annual gathering during Grand National Rally in Forest City, IA in July. There will be a designated parking row for all members of the Presidents Club to park in if they wish to at GNR this year. 

The annual Presidents Club Dinner will take place Sunday, July 16 at 7:00p.m. (appetizers at 6:15 p.m.) at Waldorf University in the Salveson Hall Ballroom located at 106 S. 6th St. behind the courthouse. There will be announcements, 50/50 Raffle, door prizes and entertainment. Cost for non-members is $12.50 per person; cost for members is $7.50 per person. Not a member yet? Send a check for $10.00 to join and your membership entitles you to the discounted price for the dinner. Greater New England Rally

August 10-13, 2017

Essex Junction, VT

The Lake Champlain WIT Chapter invites all WIT members to our rally at the Champlain Valley Exposition Fairgrounds, 105 Pearl Street, Essex Junction, Vermont. The rally theme is “Christmas in Vermont,” so bring your enthusiasm and holiday decorations - there will be a prize for the best decorated coach. 

The cost, if paid by June 30th, for three nights camping, two catered dinners, one chapter prepared dinner, three breakfasts, and two nights entertainment is $185.00 per coach/two persons, single person $145.00. Additional people (over age six) is $50.00 per person. Availability to arrive early (Wednesday) and/or stay late (Sunday) for an additional $25.00 per night. All sites offer 30 amp electric and water hook-up. Shower facilities are available at the fairgrounds, but basic and very limited in number. If paid after July 1st, please add $10.00 to the above fees. Dump station is available for an additional fee of $15.00, payable at the event.

We will start off on Thursday evening with dinner prepared by the Club, and a chance to get acquainted. Friday morning we will prepare a pancake and sausage breakfast with all the fixings’ followed by opening ceremonies. There will be seminars available afterwards. Lunch, sightseeing and exploring on your own in the afternoon. Some of our suggestions would be a Lake Champlain cruise, Vermont Teddy Bear Factory Tour, Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream Tour & Tasting, the Echo Center, local brewery tours, Shelburne Farms  and Shelburne Museum, just to name a few. Vermont Lake Monsters baseball team home games for those arriving early and who choose to attend. Friday evening we will have a catered dinner followed by entertainment. Saturday will start out with Ross’ famous breakfast sandwiches. Our Eastern Area WIT Representatives will host the “WIT Store,” as well as a Winnebago Outdoor Adventures Seminar later in the day. There will be local Maple products for sale at the best prices in Vermont! Lunch is on your own, but the rest of the day is chock full with an ice cream social; wine, cheese and beer tasting, catered roast beef dinner, and live entertainment. We will wrap up the weekend on Sunday morning with a continental breakfast, closing ceremonies and chapter meetings. Throughout the weekend there will be 50/50 drawings, a Vermont gift basket raffle (all products produced in Vermont) along with other chapter raffles, money hat raffle, games and prizes.

Our Minnesota State Rally Weekend: Honoring our Heroes, will begin on Thursday September 7, 2017. Honoring our Heroes will continue all weekend to the closing ceremonies on Sunday September 10, 2017. Save the date and join us for some delicious meals served on site, fun games and activities, seminars and door prizes.

New York State Rally

September 14-17, 2017

Lake George, NY

The Excelsior Winnies would like to invite any and all WIT Club Members to the New York State Rally in Lake George, New York. The rally will take place at the Lake George Escape RV Park on Sept. 14-17. Come and enjoy all the beautiful fall splendor that the Adirondack Mountains have to offer. Our theme this year is "Halloween."

The RV park sits just 10 minutes from the beautiful and historical Village of Lake George. Enjoy quaint village shopping or hit the outlet stores just a few minutes south of the village. Have lunch at one of the many eateries and restaurants. Top it all off with a stop at Martha's Ice Cream Shop. Tour the historical Fort William Henry or take a cruise on the majestic Lake George and take in all the fall colors.

The RV PARK has a heated pool and Cafe with nightly entertainment. Your possibilities are endless. Lunches will be on your own so you'll be free to take in everything the area has to offer. There will be a silent auction and even a pumpkin decorating contest. DON'T MISS OUT!

The cost will be $250 per two person unit and $200 for a one person unit. $50 per additional person. This includes 3 nights on a 30 amp full hookup site. Shower facilities are also available. Virginia State Rally

September 15-17, 2017

Lanexa, VA

Virginia will hold its State Rally at the Rockahock Campground located just west of the Williamsburg – Jamestown – Yorktown Historic Triangle, an RV Resort on the banks of the Chickahominy River at Walker Dam located in Lanexa, Virginia. On site is a 4 Star Italian Restaurant.

Rally fees include 2 nights camping with full hook-ups, cable TV, Wi-Fi, 3 catered meals and a continental breakfast. 

Registration received by August 1st - One rig [2 people] $175, one rig [1 person] $150. Additional guests over six are $31. Additional nights are $45.

Registration received after August 1st - One rig [2 people] $190, one rig [1 person] $165. Additional guests & night fees remain the same as above.

Meals - Thursday night will be a pot luck dinner for those wishing to participate. Friday night is catfish OR fried chicken [MUST SPECIFY CHOICE ON REGISTRATION], Saturday morning is a catered breakfast, and Saturday evening is pulled pork OR pulled chicken BBQ [MUST SPECIFY CHOICE ON REGISTRATION]. Missouri State Rally

September 15-17, 2017

Carthage, MO

The Winnie-MO-Tasca Missouri State Club invites you to join us for the 2017 State Rally. Welcome To Fabulous Winnie-MO-Tasca will be held September 15-17, 2017 at the Coachlight RV Park in Carthage, MO. The rally fee is $125 per unit with 2 people. Included in the rally fee are 2 nights camping, Friday dinner, Saturday catered breakfast and dinner and Sunday continental breakfast. The campground cost for early arrivals will be $29 per night. In addition to all of the activities referred to below, the clubhouse will be the center for fun and games each evening and door prizes will be awarded throughout the weekend.

Join us early for pre-rally activities. The festivities will start on Wednesday, September 13 with a buffet dinner at nearby Downstream Casino. One can choose to stay at the casino a little longer or return to the campground for fun and games, which may not have quite the monetary reward, but have a lot less risk. On Thursday afternoon a craft class will be held. The participants will be making a wreath. The cost of the supplies will be announced at a later date.

Several other activities are planned. These include tours of the following destinations. 

Red Oak II, the creation of “”Missourah’s”” homegrown, shade tree artist Lowell Davis. Take a trip to yesteryear and stroll along the gravel path to view the recreation of an early twentieth century county village, featuring a general store, county church, one room schoolhouse, town hall, a 1920’s cottage style Phillips 66 gasoline station, Marshall’s Office and much more. Civil War buffs will not want to miss the Carthage Civil War Museum. The museum presents artifacts and information about the Battle of Carthage and the Civil War in southwest Missouri. One of the state’s largest historic districts on the National Register of Historic Places, the driving tour is a self-guided leisurely look at the region’s most architecturally significant residences. The George Washington Carver National Monument, the Precious Moments Museum and the World's Largest Small Electric Appliance Museum; one man's epic collection of small electric appliances are also available to visit. And Historic Route 66, with many historic sites, runs through Carthage.

HOEDOWN AT THE RICKREALL

Plans are underway for the 46th OTWI State Rally September 21-24, 2017. After visiting the 50’s last year, rock n roll, poodle skirts, and sock hops, we are staying in the good old days and having a Hoedown. Webster’s defines Hoedown as a party, shindig, barn dance or celebration!!

Join us for 3 days of camping, games, great food, vendor displays, including new motor coaches. Each year we also have the always popular Red Hat Tea, where all ladies are invited. There will be seminars and classes, yes, line dancing is included.

Y’all come to the Polk County Fairgrounds, Rickreall, OR. (Just west of Salem, OR) to meet old friends and make new ones. Watch for complete details in the next WIT Club News.

Florida Chapters Reunion Rally

February 26-March 1, 2018

Seffner, FL

Sponsored by the Caloosa Winnies of Southwest Florida, the Florida Chapters Reunion Rally will be held at Lazy Days RV Resort beginning February 26, 2018. This rally will be full of sunshine and fun at our “Luau Party” for the first 200 coaches to register!
 
Get ready for a jam packed 4 days and 3 nights including entertainment on Wednesday night by Neil Zirconia, performing a Neil Diamond Tribute Concert, and Tuesday night, D.J. Anthony Mac spinning our favorite tunes for listening and dancing pleasure.
 
Highlights include Bingo, Happy Hours, Chapters Hosted Row Party, Games, Seminars, Ice Cream Social, Dealer Displays, Seminars, Vendors, Arts & Crafts Show, Door Prizes, and optional tours.
 
Rally Fees Include:
Included in the rally fee: 3 nights full hookup camping, 3 days free breakfast and lunch coupons for Lazy Days Front Porch Café, 1 catered dinner, 1 catered breakfast, potluck meals provided by Florida chapters.
 
Registrations Received by February 5, 2018 Fees:
1 coach (2 people) $225.00, 1 coach (1 person) $205.00, additional guests age 6 and up, $20.00.

Cancellation Policy:
Requests for refunds must be submitted to Nancy Miller via phone or email by February 10, 2018.
Fees will be refunded with the exception of $5 administrative fee. No refunds once the rally
begins. No shows will not be refunded.
