Habitat’s vision is a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Habitat for Humanity International’s RV Care-A-Vanner program offers anyone who travels in a recreational vehicle the opportunity to make a difference by helping build houses with families in need and having fun while doing it. The program welcomes people of all ages and from all walks of life who are ready to pick up a hammer and help change lives. Besides home building, the group does Disaster Rebuild projects, supervision of Colligiate Challenge builds, and safety training for our local affiliates. The program is run solely by volunteers and are funded by donations from our members. They organize build opportunities around North America for RVer’s and currently have more than 300 builds listed on their website.
Habitat for Huamnity International's RV Care-A-Vanner Program will be in attendance at this year's Grand National Rally. Be sure to attend their seminar on Thursday, July 26 at 9 a.m. in Seminar Tent A and stop by their booth in Friendship Hall to learn how you can “Travel with a Purpose.” http://www.habitat.org/rv/about_cav.aspx
The RV Care-A-Vanners will be building a backyard shed for the next homeowner during this year's Grand National Rally on Friday, July 27. The build will take place in the East Building, across from Scoopy Doos.
